Titans visit Wentworth Woodhouse

Rotherham Titans squad and coaches recently visited Wentworth Woodhouse to show their support for one of the town’s greatest treasures.

Wentworth Woodhouse is a Grade I listed country house in the village of Wentworth, near Rotherham.

The Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust, who are on the rear of the Titans shirt this season, have worked tirelessly, but successfully to safeguard the future of this historic local building following years of uncertainty and decline.

The Chair of the Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust (WWPT), local businesswoman Julie Kenny, said: “This is the culmination of five years very hard work and has been made possible by the support of many different charities, government bodies and individuals, including the Chancellor of the Exchequer. It is great news for the people of Rotherham and for everyone who cares about historic buildings.”

In addition to the regular tours of the house and gardens, Wentworth Woodhouse is now becoming a favourite for hosting events and weddings.
