Following their opening day defeat to Nottingham, Rotherham Titans are looking to bounce back this weekend when they travel to local rivals Doncaster Knights for round 2 of the Greene King IPA Championship; kick-off at Castle Park on Saturday is 2:30pm.
The Titans however, are not underestimating the challenge ahead as Doncaster are recognised as one of the top teams in the division, having finished in the top 4 for the last two seasons and no doubt they have aspirations of another top-end finish this time around.
The Knights did the league double over Rotherham last term, beating them at Clifton Lane 23-12 and in the corresponding fixture 25-13; although Rotherham did taste victory over the Knights with a 34-17 B&I Cup victory at Clifton Lane.
Going into the game Rotherham have made just two changes to their starting XV, with winger Jake Henry coming in for Yiannis Loizias, who drops to the bench and in the second row James Lasis makes his first start for the club as he comes in for Rob Louw, who picked up a rib injury during last week’s clash against Nottingham.
On the bench and eager to make their Titans debuts are former Ulster hooker Jonny Murphy and former Richmond back rower Adam Peters.
