Rotherham will look to register their first National League 1 win of the season when they welcome Rosslyn Park to Clifton Lane on Saturday; kick-off is 2pm.
The task in hand won’t be an easy one however, as Park have recruited well over the summer and find themselves riding high in third spot after winning their opening 2 games of the campaign.
Park impressed on the opening weekend as they travelled to Cinderford and picked up the maximum points on offer with a 36-29 victory. They backed that up last weekend with another fine 25-17 win over Bishop’s Stortford and they will fancy their chances of making it a hat trick on Saturday.
In readiness for the challenge Titans have made 4 changes to their starting XV, all of which come in the back line.
Harry Dunne comes in at centre for the injured Ellis Abrahams; Henry Roberts comes in on the wing for the injured Connor Field, Connor Dever comes in at scrum half for Josh Nott and at full back Alex Dolly comes in for Harry Davey who drops to the bench. Titans will also be pleased to see centre Jamie Cooke on the bench following a foot injury.
Commenting ahead of the game Titans head coach, Joe Barker, explained, “We’re hoping to see further improvements as a squad this week, but we know Rosslyn Park will pose a threat as they’ve been competing in this league for a long time. They are a definite top-half team, if not even further up. So it’s another strong side that awaits us and this will do us a power of good to come up against such a strong side.
“We’ve prepared well this week and if we can deliver our game plan as effectively as we’d like to, I feel we have a great chance of achieving the right result.
“It’s great to be back at home in front of our fans, they’ve got to be the most passionate supporters in the division and we’d like to put in a great performance for them.”
