Rotherham Titans have made five changes to their starting XV as they prepare to welcome Sale FC to Clifton Lane on Saturday for a 2pm kick-off.
Following Rotherham’s disappointing 28-22 defeat to Birmingham Moseley last time out the South Yorkshire side will look to bounce back to winning ways on home soil.
Of the changes made just one comes in the backline where Jamie Cooke makes his first full start of the campaign, as he comes in for the injured Dan Leake.
In the pack props Dan Richardson and Will Dennis make their first starts for the club as Jack Bergmanas and Rikki Stout drop to the bench. In the second row Dan Preston-Routledge and Conor Keys both return to action and replace stand-in rowers Anton Petrowitsch and Tom Cotterill.
Further good news for Rotherham sees Jamie Ure and Ellis Abrahams returning from injury to earn spots on the bench.
Speaking ahead of the game Titans Joe Barker explained, “Sale have managed to recruit some very good individuals into their squad and they’re sure to give us a strong test on Saturday.
“They’re a side which looks to play a bit of rugby and they have a good set of backs who like to throw it around and their forwards will try and get the ball out to them. They are a dangerous outfit and we’ll need to be on our game for the full 80 minutes.
“It’s always good to be back at Clifton Lane and it would be great if we could rectify what went wrong last week with a win; I know the boys will be working their socks off to try and achieve just that.”
