Rotherham Titans will look to end their bleak run of results in National One this weekend when they host Cinderford at Clifton Lane; kick-off on Saturday is 2pm.
The South Yorkshire side have not registered a win in their last four outings, during which, they have collected just 2 points for a drawn game away to Hull Ionians, leaving them 8 points from safety in the relegation zone.
Indeed, Titans’ last victory came over a month ago. However, their performance that day away at Chinnor was an impressive one and one that demonstrated when they do get things right on the pitch they are capable of giving the best sides in the division a hard time.
Against Cinderford this weekend, if they are to return to winning ways, they will need to find that level of performance again, combined with an appetite to graft hard for the full 80 minutes; because their South West opposition are renowned for their physicality and their propensity to drive the ball at every opportunity.
Going into the game Titans have made six changes to their Starting XV; two of which come in the backline. At full back Sam Hollingsworth comes in for Tom Bacon, whilst at inside centre Tom Bullough has recovered from illness to replace Harry Dunne.
In the forwards; Toby Williams (loose head) and Jack Bergmanas (hooker) come in for Harry Whitfield and Harry Newborn respectively, as both suffered ankle injuries in last week’s defeat at Bishop’s Stortford.
Will Hughes will make his Titans debut in the second row for Elliott Ward and rounding off the changes Keifer Laxton comes into a reshuffled back row for Anthony Maka who is unwell.
