Big Thank You to National Lottery and The Co-op from the TCF

The Titans Community Foundation has secured a National Lottery award to help develop the work it does in the community. Their partnership with Rotherham Leisure Centre, where the players lead Walking Rugby sessions each week, is being extended to Maltby Leisure Centre and local schools, starting in the New Year.

As well as developing people’s fitness, the project aims to help with social isolation, loneliness and young people at risk, through the weekly sessions. The Titans players will also be linking to local schools to explore how to lead a healthy life, get enough exercise and make the right choices with food, as well as introducing the youngest children to rugby through fun activities and games.

Full details of the sessions will be published on our website and through social media.

The picture shows our Match Day Mascot, Leia, with the Titans players, Harry Whitfield and Harry Newborn, and Trustee Lindsay Jones, with cheques from the National Lottery and also from the Co-op. The TCF would like to thank the Co-op at Kimberworth again this season for making us part of their Community Membership programme.
