Titans happy to be back at home

Rotherham Titans are pleased to be back at Clifton Lane for their National 1 match against Canterbury this weekend; kick-off on Saturday is 2pm.

Following successive journeys to south east London for games against Blackheath and Old Elthamians respectively, the South Yorkshire side are delighted to return to home comforts for what is an important game against a side close to them in the league.

The game also represents Titans last at Clifton Lane and their penultimate of 2019. Indeed Titans 2019 as a whole could be considered Annus horribilis after 8 wins in 28 games to date.

Therefore, Rotherham will look to end the year and start the Christmas Party season with a bang, as they look to return to winning ways against Canterbury.

Canterbury however won’t be a pushover as their first league win of the season came last week against high-flyers Cinderford and no doubt their confidence will have taken a timely boost ahead of their first-ever league visit to Clifton Lane.

Going into the clash Rotherham have made three changes to their starting XV.

The two changes along the backline sees at full back Sam Allan come in for Tom Bacon, whilst in the centres Connor Field returns for Jamie Cooke.

The sole change in the pack comes at tight head prop where Reece Ward is given the nod ahead of Will Dennis.

Titans: 15 Sam Allan, 14 Dan Leake, 13 Connor Field, 12 Harry Dunne, 11 Ben Robbins, 10 Morgan Bunting, 9 Connor Dever, 1 Toby Williams, 2 Jack Bergmanas, 3 Reece Ward, 4 Dan Preston-Routledge, 5 Will Hughes, 6 Zak Poole (Capt.), 7 Keifer Laxton, 8 Anthony Maka.

Replacements: 16 Zac Nearchou, 17 Will Dennis, 18 Kieran Frost, 19 Alfie North, 20 Jamie Cooke.
