Rotherham will look to make it three National 1 wins on the trot when they travel to Cinderford for the first time on Saturday; kick-off at Dockham Road is 3pm.
Following victories over Cambridge away and Caldy at home Rotherham will be eager to continue their recent good form and with only 4 games remaining this term, they’ll also be looking to maintain their position at the top-end of the table.
However, Cinderford have shown this season that on their day they are a match for anyone in the division and any side that underestimates them does so at their peril.
Going into the match Titans have made just two changes to the starting XV that beat Caldy 29-5 last time out.
Both changes come in the back line; at scrum half Connor Dever returns to duty in place of Alex Dolly, whilst at full back Sam Allan comes in as Dan Leake moves across to the right wing for Henry Roberts.
Speaking ahead of the game Titans’ Joe Barker explained, “We were delighted to get the five points last week; it was a tough game against a side that is fighting to stay in the division, but it was a game I thought we controlled very well.
“We could have been a bit more clinical at times and I think on another day we could have scored another two or three tries. Against Cinderford on Saturday we’ll need to be more ruthless because if we don’t take our chances they are sure to punish us.
“As usual in this division our opponents have a big pack, but our lads have shown consistently throughout the season they are more than capable of competing with any side in that department. They also have some pace in their backline and there’s no doubt we’ll need to be switched on for the full 80 minutes.
“However, we are playing pretty well at the moment and if we can put in a consistent performance and stick to our game plan, we are confident we get achieve the right result for us.”
