Titans look to continue improvement

Rotherham Titans need to continue their improvement from last week when they travel to Cambridge on Saturday, as they look to narrow the gap to Birmingham Moseley at the foot of the table; kick-off at Grantchester Road is 2pm.

Despite Titans home loss to Plymouth Albion last time out, there were a number of positives the South Yorkshire side can take from the game, not least the fact they scored 4 tries and collected 2 bonus points in the 38-32 reversal.

Indeed, it was only the second time this term they have scored 4 tries in a match, the other being back in September with their 31-20 win over Sale FC at Clifton Lane.

However, their task at Cambridge won’t be an easy one, as the Eastern Counties outfit have already shown this term they can beat the best sides in the division, having claimed the scalps of top-of-the-table Rosslyn Park and last time out Cinderford on their own patch.

Going into Saturday’s clash Rotherham have made three changes to their starting XV, two of which are enforced.

Along the backline Ben Robbins returns to the wing for the injured Dan Leaks and at full back Sam Allan comes back in for Tom Bacon. Whilst in the pack Dan Preston-Routledge is given the nod over Elliott Ward in the second row.

Titans: 15 Sam Allan, 14 Jamie Cooke, 13 Tom Bullough, 12 Harry Dunne, 11 Ben Robbins, 10 Sam Hollingsworth, 9 Sam Boxhall, 1 Toby Williams, 2 Jack Bergmanas, 3 Will Dennis, 4 Dan Preston-Routledge, 5 Kieran Frost, 6 Zak Poole, 7 Lewis Wilson, 8 Anthony Maka.

Replacements: 16 Harry Newborn, 17 Harry Whitfield, 18 Alfie North, 19 Keifer Laxton, 20 Connor Dever.
