Jobs for the boys – the Club needs your help

The Coronavirus is creating a new world in many ways, and rugby is just a small part of it. As we have seen from the fantastic response to our Crowdfunding Appeal, it is something we value and everyone hopes to be enjoying rugby at the Lane again before too long.

However, how rugby is structured, funded and even played, will be changed, and we need your help to prepare  for some of these changes.

DoR Martin Jenkinson, and Head Coach Steve Salvin, are  working hard behind the scenes to make sure we have a great squad ready for when the season starts.

Steve said:

At whatever level of rugby, even in the Premiership, players are finding that they need to have employment alongside their rugby. This is not just for an income due to falling revenue in clubs, but for the future, when the rugby journey ends. This needs to be part of the planning for all the young (and not so young) lads we are talking to, about coming to Rotherham.

The Club is lucky to have the Foundation to offer experience and training for players to work in schools and the community, but we need to do more.

If any of our supporters, businesses or individuals, have opportunities for employment that they can offer to players, to guarantee them an income, or to provide a career opportunity, please do get in touch.

We want players to come to Rotherham because we play a great brand of rugby, and hopefully showcase them to other clubs further up the leagues. We also want them to come to Rotherham because we care about their future, the chance to have a career, gain qualifications and play rugby for fun, hopefully becoming a long standing part of the Titans family.’

If you can help us in any way, please email tcf@titans-rugby.com and we will be back in touch – there are some exciting young (and not so young) players out there on Steve’s list, who we need to help into employment.

We look forward to being able to share information about some of these new (and old) boys waiting to play for Rotherham Titans very soon.

Also please remember you can support the Club via our Crowdfunding Appeal until June 23rd. Here’s the link for donations and pledges:
