The Covid pandemic has left many young people in our community with heath issues, both physical and mental. We are working closely with schools on programmes to improve children’s physical fitness and to help them transition back into school life under Covid restrictions.
On Wednesday this week our new crowdfunding page goes live and the TCF needs your support, as the possibility of match funding on this one is slightly different. As before, we have a number of offers available for you, from our new face masks, to a signed piece of Joe Root memorabilia, as well as the chance to get your season ticket or membership card renewed.
The difference for this appeal is that the match funding will come from Aviva employees, who are given money by Aviva to donate to a charity of their choice. They will look at what the TCF does, how well it is supported by our fans, and then they can choose to donate their ‘Community Cash’ to our charity.
The original Sport England crowdfunder helped us raise enough money to pay the wages of 2 Titans players to work in schools this coming year. We would like to be able to offer a third contract to a player and get into even more schools to help children get back to ‘normal’ after the Covid lockdown.
