Post Match Coaches Comments:
Lee Blackett: “It was a mixed performance, I thought we were very good in attack but we were very disappointed with our defence as we can’t concede that many points. We knew coming here we had to get 5 points from the game to give ourselves any chance of a home tie in the quarters, ultimately other results now mean we’ll have to wait for the draw to see where we go.
“Obviously we’re delighted to come to a club like Bedford and collect 5 points, especially when you consider their recent home form. But if we are being honest, we are going to have to be much better next week when we go to Jersey. That will be a monster test for us!
“Our set piece was outstanding today and that’s probably the biggest positive that we’ll take from the game. Scoring 4 tries is also very pleasing and that’s the fourth game in a row that we’ve done that. But we’ll have a close look at our defence because we shouldn’t be conceding that many tries.”
