This game from the 2014/15 season saw Titans host the Penzance based side Cornish Pirates, in round 7 of the Greene King IPA Championship.
To be fair it wasn’t a thriller and the conditions were much worse than they looked as the greasy ball made handling difficult.
However, any win over the Pirates has to be chalked up as a good one.
Titans outscored the visitors by 2 tries to 1, with Tom Cruse and Michael Keating securing the dot downs; James McKinney added 11 points from the tee in a hard-fought 21-13 win.

Lee Blackett: “I thought in the first half we were a bit flat and we needed to put more depth into our game, but as soon as we gained some momentum I thought we looked dangerous. It was always going to be tough in the conditions, the ball was real greasy and the conditions were probably tougher than they looked.
“If I’d been asked before the game to take four points I’d have easily taken them, because we knew it was going to be a tough game against a good Cornish Pirates team. For me it’s a good result.
“The lads put in a good shift, but as always we have plenty to work on going forward. I think we were far from our best but that’s because Cornish Pirates made it very difficult for us. They had some very good line speed defensively and they put pressure on us which forced some errors.”
