Before we look at the achievements at the Club for last week, a huge Thank You to Scott Wilson of Wilson-Windows for replacing all the vandalised windows in the Valley Room. Alongside his kind offer to provide these at cost, a group of fans also stepped up and paid for the windows, helping the club enormously as we re-open and prepare for the new season in September.
Our first #Milestone was passing our Crowdfunder target of £20,000 well before the deadline, and the site has allowed us an extra few days fundraising to see if we can beat the £22k we raised last year. We still have hats, ties, season tickets and memberships, plus lots of other options available for your donations. If you’re planning on getting any (or all) of these, please go through the Crowdfunder while it’s still open, tick the box for Gift Aid and help increase the extra cash that comes to the Foundation and the Club via this route, at no cost to you. We’ve raised over £4K from Gift Aid so far.

Our second #Milestone is that we’ve reached 250 players in the Squadbuilder this month and £625 was won by Alex Laing. A Titans hip-flask was the second price and went to Alan Holloway and third prize of 2 face masks went to Nick Warhurst. Can you spread the work and help us hit 300 players before the draw next month?
Our third #Milestone was re-opening the Clubhouse and introducing our new, local chef, Graham Hemmingham, to our supporters. At present he is serving meals 4 days a week, Thursday to Sunday, and is looking to expand what’s on offer and the days that food is available in the future.
We also have 6 new outside picnic tables for non-indoor drinking, so why not come down, enjoy a drink in the sunshine and try out what's on offer. Food is available on Thursday, with snacks served at Quiz Night, Friday it’s Fish and Chips from 4pm to 7pm, Saturday there is a menu choice from 12 noon to 6pm and on Sunday a traditional Sunday Lunch is served from 12 noon to 4pm.
Finally don’t forget we have our first Titans Tuesday of the new season on the 8th of June, with the chance to meet the directors and ask questions about the club, the new season and new signings. Food will be available that night as well.
Please book onto this event via email with john.whaling@titans-rugby.com as we will have a limit on numbers, due to ongoing Covid restrictions.
This week, our Head Coach, Steve Salvin, described our supporters as ‘incredible’, for their offers of help with furniture for the house lads will be renting, for their on-going support for the Crowdfunder, and for the way everyone rallied round after the latest vandalism.
Thank you to each and everyone of you for your incredible support and we hope to see you soon.
