Rotherham Titans face another stiff test this weekend when they travel to Stourbridge in round 19 of National 2 North; kick-off at Stourton Park on Saturday is 3pm.
Following last week’s disappointing first defeat of the season against Fylde, Titans face another huge test this week against 3rd place Stourbridge, who can boast a perfect home record of 8 wins from 8 games on their artificial pitch at Stourton Park.
Stourbridge have ambitions of reaching National 1 and they have impressed this term with big wins against Huddersfield (61-22) and Bournville (52-22), but more importantly with crucial wins against top sides Sedgley Park, Hull Ionians and league leaders Hull.
So Roth will go into this weekend’s encounter under no illusions as to the task which faces them and despite tasting defeat for the first time last week, they will travel with confidence as they look to get back to winning ways and put their own title ambitions back on track.
Going into the game Titans have made just one change to their starting XV which sees Matti Williams come into the back row for Theo Nwosu-Hope.
Looking ahead to Saturday Titans’ Adam Byron said:
“We are on the road again and again it will be a different environment with their synthetic pitch. We have trained really well this week in readiness for this game and the boys know what they need to do.
“We learnt a harsh lesson last week of what can happen when you don’t finish off your opportunities and we will look to improve in that area on Saturday.”
