Back at the start of 2021, when the country was in lockdown, Jamie Cooke decided to do something about an idea he’d had, for a health and fitness app for kids.
There was a competition, run on-line via Zoom, to get local schools involved with the design through the Work-Wise Foundation, and then it all went quiet. Cookie’s idea wasn’t getting off the drawing board.
He’s a tough, stubborn player, and it was the same off the field as on it, so he didn’t give up on his plans.
He persuaded AND Digital to take the idea on board, and he has worked with them since the spring, to produce an app for the TCF to use in schools across Rotherham. It is ready to go live in September!
But he needs some help:
AND Digital have done all the work for free, as part of their commitment to Community projects. The TCF have funds to licence and support the app for at least a year.
