Rotherham Rugby Club Centenary Dinner
Magna 26th August 2023
A celebration of Rugby in Rotherham
THIS year marks the 100th year since the formation of Rotherham Rugby Club.
The club was incorporated on March 24th, 1923 and played its first game on October 13th that year.
It was the start of one of the most astonishing stories in British sporting history as the club went from marking out a pitch on nearby fields to playing at the biggest, most famous grounds in the game; to winning at Twickenham and even in Europe!
We want you to join us to mark this one-off occasion, when you can rub shoulders with some of the legends who have brought so many memorable moments. It will be an evening to remember, the like of which will never happen again.
We have been called the most controversial club in English rugby – but we’ve also been called one of the best. If you have been part of the journey, as a player, supporter or just as a rugby fan, then please come along and help us raise a glass to all of the heroes to have ever pulled on a Rotherham shirt.
The celebration will be hosted by Pete Emmett and musical entertainment will be provided by the fabulous Acoustic Angels.
Tickets are £50 each to include a three-course dinner and a glass of prosecco on arrival.
Please come along and be a part of the Rotherham Rugby Family.
