The Club are today delighted to announce that back-rower Tom Calladine has agreed terms to remain at Clifton Lane for a third season.
Calladine, 27, joined Rotherham during the summer of 2015 from Championship rivals Nottingham Rugby, having previously played for Hartpury, Linwood in New Zealand and his home-town club of Mansfield RFC.
The retention of Calladine is seen as a huge positive for the club, as he is a proven performer at Championship level. Tom brings a wealth of experience to the squad and his ability to keep a calm head, with clarity of thought in the heat of a Championship battle, is a huge asset for the club.
The former England U16 and U18 representative is a popular figure at Clifton Lane and he has gone on to achieve senior status at the club. Naturally, he’s a part of the Leaders Group within the squad; all of which make him a key component of the Titans set-up.
Tom’s made 33 appearances to date for the South Yorkshire side, scoring 10 tries; this gives him a very impressive try-scoring ratio of almost one try in every three games.
Calladine will be keen to maintain his record under the new coaching team, led by Andy Key, when the new Championship season resumes in September.
