Rotherham Titans will look to register back-to-back wins for the first time this season, when they travel north to take on Darlington Mowden Park on Saturday; kick-off at the Northern Echo Arena is 3pm.
Following last week’s hard-fought 22-20 win over Moseley at Clifton Lane, Rotherham will be keen to back up that result with another win, as they aim to reduce the gap at the bottom further.
However, Titans know their task won’t be an easy one, as Mowden can boast an impressive home record and they will go into this one looking to make it six home wins on the bounce.
Nevertheless, the South Yorkshire side’s confidence has taken a huge boost in recent weeks and they believe on their day, they are capable of beating any side in the division.
Ahead of the match Titans have made two changes to their starting XV, as injuries force one each in the backs and forwards.
Harry Dunne suffered a rib injury against Moseley, which means a re-shuffle in the centres sees Jamie Cooke come off the wing to partner Tom Bullough and Connor Dever come into the side on the wing.
In the pack, a hamstring injury for Anthony Maka allows Alfie North an opportunity to show what he can do in the back row, alongside Lewis Wilson and Zak Poole.
On the bench and recalled from their loan periods at Sheffield Tigers and Sheffield RUFC respectively are back rower Ben Waddington and utility back George Castledine.
Titans: 15 Tom Bacon, 14 Ben Robbins, 13 Jamie Cooke, 12 Tom Bullough, 11 Connor Dever, 10 Sam Hollingsworth, 9 Sam Boxhall, 1 Toby Williams, 2 Jack Bergmanas, 3 Will Dennis, 4 Dan Preston-Routledge, 5 Kieran Frost, 6 Lewis Wilson, 7 Alfie North, 8 Zak Poole (Capt.).
