Rotherham Titans are delighted to announce the strengthening of their backline with the addition of Centre Luke Peters from Championship rivals Ealing Trailfinders.
Peters, 23, came through the Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence at London Irish, before going on to represent the Exiles in the Aviva Premiership 'A' League.
From there Luke moved to Leeds Beckett University to study Quantity Surveying, whilst at the same time being part of the Yorkshire Carnegie Academy. During his time at Carnegie he helped Leeds Beckett to victory in the final of the 2015 BUCS Final.
The former England Students representative then moved to Ealing Trailfinders where he enjoyed a successful season under Ben Ward and previous Titans boss, Alex Codling.
In the recent Greene King IPA Championship semi-final second leg, Luke scored the winning try for Ealing against Yorkshire Carnegie at Headingley to cap off his impressive season.
Portsmouth born, Luke is an exciting addition to the Titans squad and he will add significantly to the competition for the Centre’s jersey at Clifton Lane.
Commenting ahead of his arrival to South Yorkshire, Luke said, “I'm looking forward to joining up with Rotherham next season and taking on the challenges that lie ahead.
“With the changes that are taking place it's an exciting time to be at the club and hopefully we can move on in the right direction.”
