Rotherham Titans are pleased to announce the addition of Centre Jamie Cook to their backline ahead of the 2017/18 Championship season.
Cooke, 21, is joining the Titans from Hartpury College where he spent 3 successful seasons, which included recent success at Twickenham in February of this year, when Hartpury claimed the inaugural BUCS Super Rugby League title in a 17-12 win over Loughborough.
As a youngster Jamie came through the ranks at his home town club Bury St Edmunds before going on to play for their senior side. He later joined the Northampton Saints academy before moving on to Hartpury College, where he was nominated for Hartpury player of the year in 2016.
A natural outside centre, at 97kg he can also provide plenty of go forward from 12. Jamie is a strong and explosive ball carrier and is extremely reliable in defence where his physicality and work rate make him a standout.
Delighted with his move to Clifton Lane, Jamie commented, “I'm really pleased to be given the opportunity to join Rotherham Titans. After speaking with Andy Key I'm looking forward to the challenges ahead in this competitive squad and league.
“With pre-season coming up, I'm excited to meet the players, staff and everyone else at Titans.”
